After filling with water we left Napton Top Lock at 2-40 pm. The flight was quite busy and we met boats most of the way down. It was a warm afternoon and we moored for the night at bridge 102 a little after 6 pm.
Monday 9 September 2002
It rained overnight a we started of in drizzle at 9-40 am. We did a pumpout at Braunston Marina and then filled with diesel at 28p/lt We then topped up the water tank and had a bacon butty from the Gonoozlers Rest a restaurant boat that is moored by The Stop House. It then started to rain quite heavily as we set off back towards Napton. As we approached the Folly a Rose hire boat full of Americans pulled out in front of us but luckily for us they stopped for water just below the locks. We passed them and started up the flight in pouring rain arriving back on our moorings at 3-45 pm.
