The CIBC Rally was over and the marquee was all packed on the trailer ready for us to take back to the London Cruising Club at Alperton on Tuesday. We went for lunch at the Crown in Napton and then decided to take “Harnser out to charge her batteries, so at 3-15 pm. we set off down the flight in pleasant sunshine, few clouds and the usual Napton breeze. We met 10 boats on our way down the flight so had quite an easy run. We filled with water at the Folly and then continued on to Napton Junction where the South Oxford and the Grand Union part company to wind. On the way back we picked some Blackberries finally mooring just below the top lock in the dark at 8-15 pm.

We woke to a mist morning but the sun soon broke through. We took the boat back to her moorings and set off with a well loaded car and trailer for Alperton and then home.
